ELECTORAL COLLEGE WILL SOON BE CONTROLLED BY BLUE STATES

KENNETH KOLLE 3-18-2019

As a republican this pains me to say this but, the democrats are taking advantage of the fact that corporate greed is taking over our party.

Special interest groups have been pulling the strings so long that capitalism has turned into tyranny and the Will of the People has been muted.

I’m a believer that most folks that run for office do it because they want to help their communities and they have the intentions to listen to their constituents.  I’m pretty certain most of them believe they can make a difference but, soon find out they cannot do anything beneficial until they concede to the controlling power of the lifetime politicians.

The Democratic Party has been working to regain control while the Republican Party (certain lifetime “leaders”) have arrogantly passed more and more legislation to further push states like Kentucky to the  edge of tyranny, and bankruptcy.

Legislators, like most people, go to work day after day, surrounding themselves with the same groups of people (kinda like high school), and they begin to create their own reality of what the world looks like; like a forest fire creates its own atmosphere that fuels the flames, which in this case it has blinded them into believing they have enough control to create a system of protection for themselves and their investors.

One of the main mistakes the Republican Party is making; they are listening to lobbyist that only have one goal, making their bosses wealthy.

We know from studying history this type of power and corruption will eventually be destroyed and take down the innocent people these very lobbyists and politicians depend on for capitalism to work. (nothing is wrong with capitalism as long as the capitalist don’t turn into tyrants)

We also know from studying history that superpowers, larger than ours, have collapsed because of this kind of greed; and if you’ve been watching other republican states lose control you would have noticed the main ingredient was the corruption in government.

This can be seen by studying the marijuana movement, and those of us following this movement for the past 10 to 15 years has seen the shift in power as incumbent after incumbent has been eliminated solely off their unwillingness to restore the Will of the People the right to possess and consume a natural growing planet.

The numbers being released election cycle after election cycle continue to reinforce this.

Every election cycle the marijuana movement, and several other Restore our Freedom movements,  gain more and more momentum through the Democratic Party, as they continue to blindside the Republican Party.

Several of us Marijuana Reform advocates have tried to warn our legislators...

Most of our lawmakers can see this shift in power and are unable to prevent it because of a few party leaders; and same leaders continuing to hold up marijuana reform are also the ones profiting off the communities that continue to re-elect them term after term.

The attitudes we have gotten from these three Republican leaders remind me of a teenagers narrow minded attitude (everybody is doing it so I have to too)

Everybody is not doing it! (only the corrupt groups you’re hanging around with)
Are you gonna jump off a bridge because everybody is doing it!!
(in this case they will lose control because they cannot see out of their box)

Their are  plenty enough people sick of the status quo and they have gotten tired of trying to work with the narrow minded arrogant tyrants and they (the forward thinking) are moving beyond their (arrogant tyrants) scope of understanding, much like what happens when young adults graduate and gain different perspectives by getting out of the box high school confines them to.

Unfortunately, It has gotten so bad in Kentucky that we have 10 of the worst counties in the country and our state is facing financial disparities which will soon cause tax increases on the poor, and tyrant capitalist will gain more control.

This must stop!

This isn’t someone else’s problem!!

This problem was created by the voters and must be fixed by the voters!!!

We (the voting populous) must vote out Robert Stivers, Damon Thayer, Ralph Alvarado, and Matt Bevins, or our state will soon turn blue.

No matter how you feel about marijuana reform it is going to happen; and no matter how you feel about marijuana reform it is a great example of what’s wrong with our system (nearly 70% wants full legalization and nearly 90% wants medical marijuana) and the lack of concern from our lawmakers is getting people involved in changing the status quo all across the country.

It is important to note: If you are a Republican and you claim to be pro-cannabis but have not sponsored, or written,  legislation to back up your claims, your seat is in danger too!

There are many many more issues being ignored (just pick one) while Republican controlled Frankfort continues to pass unconstitutional legislation that continues to take from our communities and further destroy our state, while party leaders, lobbyist, and unethical companies get wealthier and more powerful.

I have been hearing the word revolt used a lot lately and I agree things must change. But! A revolt will end in blood shed and take years of rebuilding once one side is defeated. Our founding fathers put in place the tools we need to fix this.  Our founding fathers gave us a constitution created through a democratic process for democracy and we must take full advantage of this tool.

Voting is the backbone of democracy and unless we can teach friends and family how important it is to vote, our democracy will continue to fail.

If we don’t teach our friends and family the importance of researching candidates voting history and their role in creating the mess we are in, we will eventually be at war with them (our family and friends) because of a problem created by legislators ultimately put in office because their (non-voters) lack of due diligence aided in this mess.

The take away here should NOT be: this guy just wants marijuana legalization because he wants to get high, the take away here should be we have a duty to our loved ones to eliminate corruption in our government by using the tools our founding fathers already fought and many lives lost so we would not have too.

It’s not hard to understand what needs to be done. It only takes watching the legislation sessions on KET.com and learning how government works to understand how important voting and unity forces results.

In this particular case it’s shifting power across the country.

Here in Kentucky we have seen several county incumbents lose important positions because they opposed marijuana reform and we expect more to come.

Additionally, I foresee chairs being filled by pro-teacher candidates during the next voting cycle because of the overwhelming unity they have been displaying over the past few weeks.

Again!

It does not matter if you support their cause, it’s just another example (of many) of unity and exercising those rights given to us by our brave founding fathers.

I was talking to a teacher today and he told me about a lady speaker at an event he attended several years ago.

That lady was warning them about these very issues they are having.

Being able to foresee these problems years ahead of the general population her warnings went unheard and now the problem has become so complicated it is causing unnecessary harm to our children, teachers, school districts, and even those teachers and administrators who ignored the lady because they did not think it was a problem that was, or could, affect them.

We’ve gotta quit being complacent and allowing our liberties to be taken from us while we bury ourselves in our lives. We cannot continue to create a country destine for civil war.

We have the tools to fix this and we must use them!!

Please research the candidates and don’t rely on public opinions when voting. Most senators and state representatives have Facebook pages and will usually answer your questions. If they don’t, that will be a good indicator of the type of representatives they will be.

And please remember: voting based on affiliation is no different than a representative voting against a good bill that could have saved lives  because the party he, or she, is affiliated will not support the party sponsoring the bill.

If your party doesn’t have a good candidate then find one, or put your name on the ballot.
